More Than a Distraction: ADHD as a Chronic Neurodevelopmental Disorde

“More Than a Distraction: ADHD as a Chronic Neurodevelopmental Disorder” will be held as part of the BHAAS Day program, offering a deeper look into how Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is understood beyond the surface-level label of “inattention.”

The session will be led by Dr Amer Smajkić and will explore ADHD as a condition that is often misunderstood and frequently reduced to stereotypes, despite its wide-ranging effects on daily functioning across the lifespan.

Participants will be invited to rethink common misconceptions, explore modern diagnostic frameworks, and gain insight into evidence-based management approaches, all with the goal of building a more informed and empathetic understanding of ADHD.
